Urgent - Opinions Wanted

We've been working on this table for the Vintage Bazaar. It's made completely, except for nails and screws, from salvaged and found materials.



I really like it...but I'm not totally sure how to best finish it. It's got so many elements going on...rusty, chippy, white, black, metal. I think it needs something to unify it. I keep coming back to black...but I'd love to know what you think.








I'd really like to hear what you think. What would you do to finish this piece?
