The man stands tall, his shadow as long as his wisdom ids great. Standing near the shore, he appears as a beacon. Lovingly captured!

Nice photo, Lisa! What a small shadow. Interesting.

I wish I had more pictures of my grandfather. I only have a few.

Have a fun week seeking shadows!

Grandpa's shadow seems to be shy and retiring...

IF I WERE A SHADOW

If I were a shadow,
I would seek the light;
There I would glow sleekly,
Black and shiny bright!

I LOVE this shot. it is just the coolest shot. WHAT was he gazing at? the mystery makes this an even better shot. happy SSS to you Lisa.

How sweet, sweet, sweet this shot is!

If no one picks up hosting SSS, I will still post my shadows as I have done for so many years. I do have an 'email subscribe' on my blog, so if you want automatic notification of my SSS posts, sign up for that. I don't post everyday, usually twice a week. If you visit me, I will surely visit you (but we have to leave comments so that we know we were by).

What a wonderful shot of your grandfather. The coloration is so muted and nice. He stands there so tall. A special photo. I have only one of my granddaddy at 100, and that was a long time ago. genie

I'm curious to know what your grandpa is looking at! Or maybe he just doesn't like looking at the camera :)

Love the shot! A 'real' vintage photo! That's special!
